It took us two days to find my wallet, which she had expertly hidden behind the couch.
Whenever I put on my Ugg boots, I am sure to find either a binkie, a toy truck, some lip gloss, a Pez dispenser, or all four things stuffed in there. My toothbrush is usually in her toy basket.
She hid my wallet in the car, throwing it far enough under the shotgun seat that I had to lay flat on the car floor to reach it.
She knows exactly what she's doing, since she'll usually retrieve the item after you ask her where it is.
But today...
Today...
Colbie decided it was more fun to drop things off our balcony than just enjoy the warm weather.

I heard one little "uh-oh" and noticed the kid no longer had her binkie in her mouth. Oh well. That's her problem. I wasn't about to climb down three flights of stairs to dig for it in the bushes. Then a few minutes later I heard a small metal "clink" coming from the same spot. I figured it was jewelry, but exiled Colbie from the balcony.
A few hours later I realized I couldn't find my keys.
I asked Colbie where Mommy's keys were and she walked over to the balcony door.

One stroke of inspiration and I knew exactly what the metal clink had been.
Nestled perfectly in the middle of a shrubbery were my keys. I grabbed them and held them up to Colbie.
That turkey ran away.

It's a good thing she's so darn cute.
Little Miss Mischievous.
