Colbikins is ONE!

Our little sweetheart is one today! She is such a joy in our lives and I can't imagine where I would be without her. At one, she can walk (is trying to run!), say mama, dada, nana (my mom), baba, yeah, that (dat), yum, and aah (that's her word for drink). Her favorite foods include bananas and baby puff wheels, but she loves sugar the most. We had an epic tantrum the other day when she could only have two bites of an eclair from Schmidt's Pastry Cottage.

She loves stuffed animals and playing with her Daddy whenever he's home. She has seven teeth and refuses to eat any more baby food, drink formula, and wear a bow for more than two minutes.

This girl is spunky and full of ginger!

We love you so much, Colbie, and we're so happy you came to be with us!

A few very unprofessional pictures taken today...

I know the quality is bad on this one but look at those eyes!

A Few New Tricks

Walking. She's still stubborn and won't take more than three steps on her own. If you push her any further, she gets really angry.

Multi-tasking. Riding and waving at the same time! As long as it doesn't turn into texting and riding. :)

Stinkeye! Does it on command.

She has also decided that she is completely done with any baby food or formula. Loves her binkie, blankie, dolly, and playing chase! She will also put a phone to her ear and say "Ha?!" What a smart girl. Can't believe she's almost one!

Unfortunately, she hasn't figured out how to go back in time. (One week old)

I'll take just a little bit back in time! (Six months old)

Finally Settled Enough to Post

We've had a very busy six weeks or so! Between moving to Salt Lake, a couple weddings, and starting law school, I haven't had time to catch my breath or settle down into a routine. Luckily, now all the craziness has passed and we get to enjoy a few quiet weeks at home before any craziness starts up again.

First, our move to Salt Lake City! We actually moved in at the end of July (with the generous help of family-thanks, guys!), but Cam was still working for Wilson Motor and Paige was getting married in the middle of August, so we basically still lived in Logan. It was rough to live out of a suitcase for three weeks and to have most of our stuff over an hour away, but we really enjoyed those few weeks we had with family! Our apartment is slowly starting to feel more like our home, and Colbie loves having all of this space to explore! And she's discovered the fun of playing with toilet paper...

Busted!

She had toilet paper stuck on her foot.

Colbie absolutely LOVES to swim and splash around, so she was so excited when Sydney had a pool party for her birthday! She's becoming fast friends with Sydney and CJ, and is always so excited to see them!

She loves this little frog floating toy. She would float all around the pool all day if I would let her.

Sydney & Colbie

Such a cute little swimsuit! I was sad she only got to wear it once... it was the first thing I bought for her when I was pregnant.

Colbie is getting so mobile... she walks wherever she can with her little walker toy or using furniture. Unfortunately, that means that lots of bumps and bruises are in her future! She got her first shiner last night. (A chasing game ended when she fell into a knee)

Kinda blurry... Sorry!

This little girl is very much her own boss and has gone on a pretty firm bow strike. She is such a good sharer and will offer anything she has to anyone around her (even a gruff-looking biker in the Wal*Mart line...) :) She loves when her daddy is home and misses him so much when he is at school! She is a little sweetheart and I can't believe this little girl is going to be ONE this month!
