Goodbye to the Aamodts!

Well, let's be honest, they haven't really lived in Cache Valley for two years, but the time has come for my sister, her husband, and baby Lincoln to take off for Ann Arbor, Michigan for law school. It seems like the mother ship is calling these U of M Wolverines fans home. :o) I am very excited to see them in August! Love you all!

Holy Cute Shoes, Batman!

"It's not easy to find happiness in life, but it's worth looking for at the mall."

I have a problem. I am addicted to shopping. It's basically to the point where I'm embarrassed to admit to someone that I've gone. I have gotten a little bit better, (and poorer) last summer I used to go about once a week. I've been able to hold back to once a month now. But... I'm pretty sure the only way I'll ever be able to really get over my addiction is if they stopped making SUCH CUTE shoes! These are the shoes I bought today, along with some other things. Now I just need a job where I can wear all these cute and professional things everyday!

Getting to know you...

1. What was I doing 5 years ago?
Five years ago, I was 14 going on 15, which means I was just getting ready to start high school (man, was that really 5 years?). I was running with the cross country team and was gearing up for a wonderful trip to Hawaii with my daddy, sister and brother. Pretty much just enjoying being a teenager and having no adult responsibilities.

2. Five things to do today...
1. Go get my headshot for Pickleville
2. Mail a letter
3. Clean my room
4. Clean my bathroom
5. GO RUNNING! (It's been a week...)

3. Favorite Snack-
My favorite snack is Special K with strawberries. Have you ever had it? It's pretty much amazing, a low calorie count, and healthy for you! I feel so sorry for my mother, between my sister and me, she buys lots for us!

4. What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
I would first buy a car so that I didn't have to keep depending on my dad, pay off my tuition as it came up, buy my mom a red convertible with a license plate that says "Nana," finance my brother-in-law's law school education (I AM a billionaire!), start my own floral, fashion & design boutique ("My Sister's Closet"), and then put the rest away!

5. Name Three of your bad habits--
1. Editing everything in my mind as I read it
2. Sometimes I say things that seem random, but really are on topic, but because no one can see my thought process, it comes off weird. This is why my jokes are so lame.
3. Staying up late after I've worked the dinner shift to "wind down"

6. Five jobs I've had (not sure if I've had five...):
1. Tutor (my first job ever, at 14 years old!)
2. Nannying (it was all good and fun when they were little, but now they're older and they're learning how to lie and stuff. Still cute, and I still love 'em!)
3. Hostess
4. Server (20% is the new 15%, people!)
5. Table Assistant (step down from server... not too shabby, less stress!)

7. Five things people don't know about me-- I had to think really hard about these, I'm pretty much an open book...
1. I love belting out show tunes when I'm alone in my car. I'm convinced that belting the Wicked soundtrack is what strengthened my voice last summer.
2. I am secretly in love with David Cook (new American Idol). I think we would have beautiful children and would be very happy together.
3. I love to look at my feet when I'm dancing. Particularly when I'm tapping. In my mind, if I'm looking at my feet, maybe other people will? It prompted one dance teacher to always say, "The steps aren't written on the floor!"
4. I love watching those surgery shows TLC used to show at night... The things like "The 160-lb Tumor" and Conjoined Twin separations.
5. I love Jon & Kate Plus Eight. I would adopt one of those kids if I could. But I watch them and I think it scares me enough that I'm convinced to wait for a long while to have kids, but still gives me a glance into things to look forward to with motherhood.
