A Year In Review...

I don't know if it's because it's finals week or what, but lately I've been thinking a lot about my first year of college that is quickly coming to a close. HOLY COW! Quite the first year... lots of changes and lessons learned. So, in honor of my first year of real life, here's a little review of some things that went on!

The event that started this whole thing... graduation! It was very "dignified" (aka BORING... Thank goodness for skittles and hand-held Yahtzee!)

Last summer I ran in my first big organized race- The Wasatch Back Relay Run! I ran a total of 16.5 miles in about 30 hours. So fun, but I couldn't walk for two days.

Most of my roommates during the time I tried some independence and lived away from home... I lasted three months! :o) It was worth a shot. Also, I had a crazy lapse of judgement and tried out a "grown up" haircut.

I learned that you either learn how to park in a tight spot, or meet the cement pole.

After moving home, I started to get things together! I found a new job to tide me over while I figure out what my next step is! It's been a great (and crazy) first year, but now my feet are wet, and I think that I'm ready to wade in a little deeper!

Pickles, anyone??

I am happy to announce that after MONTHS of contemplation, interviews, applications and auditions, I was finally hired to do something this summer! I am so excited to announce that I've been cast as a dancer in Pickleville Playhouse's musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie! I'm especially happy since there's a lot of tap dancing, which I love! Check out www.picklevilleplayhouse.com to see a schedule. In honor of musicals, I'm posting pictures of the other two musicals I got to dance in, 42nd Street and Good News.

So it begins...

Alright, here we go! I figured since I have family and friends soon moving to SLC, Alaska, Maine, Oklahoma, India, etc., I'd start up a blog in the hopes of keeping in touch, and that some of them will follow the example (hint, hint!).

Since I'm an English major, I'm going to try really hard to avoid any spelling or grammatical errors because people seem to give me a harder time for it. Just to give you an idea, I already posted this once (twice) (three times), read it, and then revised portions that seemed "awkward" or didn't make sense. Have I mentioned I'm a little obsessive-compulsive...?
