I Know, I Know...

I'm a terrible blogger. But between the holidays and then getting back into school, I think I can have a little slack. :) I could resolve to be better at blogging but I've done that before. Just know I am trying!

I just realized that I didn't even blog about Halloween or any holiday after that (REALLY bad blogger award!) so here's a quick {read: long} recap from October to now!

{Halloween}
I made Colbie's costume this year. From the moment Cam and I decided to start a family, I knew that my child would be a skunk for Halloween. It was a great learning experience for me to make her costume and while she only wore her suit for a total of twenty minutes, it was totally worth it! She was an awfully cute skunk. She LOVED trick-or-treating in Chuck and Michelle's neighborhood and then answering the door for trick or treaters the rest of the night!

Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving in Draper this year with the Cutlers. It was a HUGE family affair. My extended family is pretty big, but it's still nothing compared to the magnitude of the Cutler extended family. We had a great time! We stole our sweet cousin, Caitlyn, away for a few minutes to snag a few quick family pictures. We were so thrilled with the outcome!

{Christmas}
We spent the holiday season in Logan so that we could split the time between all of our wonderful families! It was a great couple of weeks, although I didn't get many pictures of it. :) One pic I did snap, though, is of Colbie in her sweet penguin hat she got for Christmas. A friend of ours from high school made it. (Sidenote: she is amazing! She donates all of her profits! Check her out here.)

{Colbie Update}
This little girl cracks me up! She is spicy and busy and must always be doing what Mommy is doing. It makes me so sad to think that she isn't a baby anymore, but at the same time it is so fun to watch her grow up and learn something new everyday!

Her vocabulary has exploded the last week or so... I won't list all of her words she knows, but her favorites include wow!, cool!, doggy, thank you, Tangled, mama, daddy, bumpa (grandpa), more, and bird.

She is sooooo girly! Colbie has commandeered all of my jewelry. She will not go out without at least three necklaces on and wears her teething rings as bracelets. She also has a sparkly silver purse that she carries around with her when Mommy needs her purse back.

Colbie doesn't really walk anymore... she runs! We go to the Tracy Aviary every Wednesday and she loves running from one bird exhibit to the next, waving at the birdies and asking for more. She will blow kisses to anyone who says bye-bye and tells the cashier thank you whenever we're at the grocery store.

We have adjusted to living in Salt Lake (the mild winter helped) and the demands of law school. Now that we're out of the first semester, Cam feels like he has a good handle on his workload. It's really true that they make the first semester as rough possible, but he came out the other end with great grades! We are now just anxiously counting down the days until Spring Break.

Life is good!
