Unfortunately, my back is feeling the affects of her need to walk with help.
I have been persuading her to try to get used to standing (and eventually taking steps) without holding my hands, but while this child is busy and adventurous, she is also cautious.
I was feeling frustrated with this cautious method of walking today, when I realized something... when she holds her hand out to me, she's asking me for help.
And lately, Miss Independent has been resisting help.
She holds her own bottle now...
She's trying to feed herself...
She doesn't cuddle very often...
She will only fall asleep if she's left alone...
So while it may take her a little longer to learn how to walk, I'm going to make an effort to enjoy this opportunity to teach Colbie that I will always be there to hold her hand when she needs it.
