The Grinch

"Every Who down in Whoville, the tall and the small, liked Christmas a lot. But the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville, did not."

This said mean one, Mr. Grinch, is attempting to steal my Christmas. Ever since before Thanksgiving, I was anxiously anticipating decorating my Christmas tree (which my mom generously allowed us to set up downstairs). Luckily, the Grinch didn't get a hold of the tree. That was set up with lights for a few days, inviting me to trim it with stars and glitter and ribbons and ornaments.

That was before the Grinch.

Sometime between September and last Saturday, that naughty green monster (or is he a mutant Who???) snuck down the chimney and stole all of our Christmas ornaments and stockings, for they are NOWHERE to be found! And trust me, we have looked in every nook and cranny. We didn't even find a crumb small enough for a mouse.

I am trying so very hard to have a Cindy Lou Who attitude about this whole thing, but I don't feel too inclined to go sing "Fa-foo fore, Da-voo dores" in the streets quite yet.
