Pickleville Advice

Ah, how I love Pickleville Playhouse! I love the Davis's and I love the cast and yes, I even love Pickle the bat (he makes for some interesting back-up dancing). I love that I can pop showtunes in my car and not feel ashamed with them. I love that I get leftover pickles, popcorn and drinks. Mostly, I love the opportunity to do something that I love! Every performance, I tend to feel a little overwhelmed with everyone else's amazing talent compared to mine, but I'm grateful for the opportunity and everything that I've learned from them.

So, where is this little lovefest going?

First of all, it is a shameless plug in an attempt to get EVERYONE to come see us in Bear Lake! Second of all, it's the kind of advice that I received last night that makes me realize how useful(?) it is to be around all these great folks...

Sharli Davis King waited for her husband, Andy, while he was serving a mission, and have now been married for two years. So, of course, I felt it was necessary to ask the two of them for a little advice for this upcoming Tuesday. The conversation went like this,
Andrea Davis: "Andy, give Haley some advice for when Cam comes home."
Andy: "LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS."
Haley: "But, Andy, I'm going in with no expectations. I'm just a sit-and-see-what-happens kind of gal."
Andy: "Ok, here's you, with no expectations. LOWER THEM MORE."
Haley: "Oh... o-ok."

We then proceeded trying to create all these great ways to just break the poor R.M. in fast. We thought about possibly telling him that, for some reason, T.J. (our lead) would be unable to perform, so we were going to need him to jump in real quick for a love scene (Baha...). There was also talk of just running up to him and giving him a big hug. Veto. I've known guys to throw up right after coming home because they touched a girl.*
*(On a serious note, though, I joke about things like this, but I really am grateful for Elder Cutler's willingness to serve a mission, and I will be slightly sad to see the missionary side go. That being said, I think that the best qualities he gained in California will stick, just meshing with all his other great qualities. Amazingly enough, while he's been out there busy like crazy, he's still managed to be a great friend and source of support for me.)

It is a great time hanging out with all of these people at the PVP and I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer to perform! It's already flying by way too fast!

This is my last post for a while, I PROMISE! This is what stress-induced insomnia does to me!
