Due to the large amount of requests I've been getting from people, I decided to just type my story in one place, and then people may refer to this page to get answers. I'm not going to go into too much of the nitty gritty details, because I'm not the only person involved, but hopefully this'll satisfy some questions.*
My mom, sister, brother and I escaped to Red Robin and then Tai Pan in Layton on "D-Day" (which we shall call it from now on). I was totally in denial, it didn't feel real to me at all, even with the texts from family and friends requesting details and wishing me luck. That is, until we returned home at about 4, and I saw the "Welcome Home Elder Cutler" sign on Cliffside. THEN my stomach jumped up into my chest cavity and started doing flips.
Elder Cutler was released around 10 and then came to see me at 10:30. The first ten minutes or so were kinda awkward, and then after that it calmed down a bit. We had a good talk and began the process of becoming reacquainted. He left my house around 12:15. (Let me just add that, the whole twenty minutes I was waiting for him to show up, my breathing became very labored and irregular. My mom was concerned.)
His mom, Tracy, was gracious enough to offer to cook breakfast for us this morning and we talked some more. It was delicious. His mom is so sweet and you could tell she is just thrilled to have her boy home, so I felt very lucky that she would volunteer time to let me spend with him.
So that's about up to date. Between Pickleville and work, things are keepin' busy and I'm happy to be in the swing of things. The thing that I am most looking forward to is more than 4 hours of sleep. Must be blissful.
Thanks so much to everyone who has been so kind and patient with me ('specially the fam!).
